Digitalization of production processes is no longer a luxury but a necessity. Slovak company MBTECH BB s.r.o. has embraced this challenge and, together with the SCR team, launched a project that is reshaping the way the company operates.
The ambition was clear – get rid of Excel sheets, handwritten notes, and scattered data that slowed down both employees and management. The outcome is a digital platform that connects logistics, production, and management into one transparent system.
Why change was inevitable

Before the project began, MBTECH struggled with familiar pains of many manufacturing businesses. Information was fragmented across multiple systems, often still managed manually in spreadsheets. Some processes were not digitalized at all, others only partially. Departments exchanged data slowly and inefficiently, which led to wasted time and poor decision-making.
Management therefore set clear goals:
unify data in a single source,
simplify employee tasks,
improve transparency between departments,
and provide reliable information for strategic decisions.
From analysis to implementation

The collaboration with SCR started with a series of analytical workshops. These sessions helped map the current state and design what processes should look like in the future. The result was a detailed functional and technical specification, including process diagrams that highlighted the contrast between old workflows and the new digital model.
The project was divided into phases. In 2024, the first package (v1) was implemented and introduced to employees by the end of the year. Built entirely on modern open-source technologies such as PHP, Vue, Docker, Redis, RabbitMQ, Keycloack, and DigitalOcean cloud, the platform gives MBTECH flexibility without vendor lock-in.

The first version already offers a wide range of features:
a landing page showing progress on production and sales plans,
a CEO module for defining the value of KPIs,
digitalized goods receipt in logistics with custom label printing,
tracking of goods in the notebook and refurbishment departments,
dashboards visualizing performance of employees and departments,
automated reports for payroll, capacity planning, and business performance,
integration with the ERP system,
user and role management via Keycloack,
email notifications
Tangible results

The biggest benefit? Eliminating unnecessary administration. Excel spreadsheets, manual copying, handwritten papers on products – all of these are now gone. Key information is available at a glance, giving management and employees a clear view of production, sales, and performance.
The company now evaluates departments more effectively, rewards staff based on real results, and plans capacities with greater precision. This has boosted motivation, productivity, and overall production capacity.
The journey continues

The project doesn’t stop here. In 2025, MBTECH BB continues with phase two, expanding the platform into additional departments. The vision is clear – connect the entire company, make critical data accessible at all times, and base decisions on real insights rather than guesswork.
Conclusion
The case of MBTECH BB demonstrates that digital transformation in manufacturing is not just a buzzword but a strategic imperative. By adopting modern technologies and a step-by-step approach, the company has turned complex processes into a transparent system that supports both employees and leadership.
